JoCora Moore will lead the next CALS Community Conversation, “Marginalized Communities’ Election Expectations,” a discussion about the realities of what marginalized communities can, and should, expect from elections.

Moore, a Ph.D. student in Public History, was born and raised in Plymouth, NC. Moore teaches Modern American History since 1865 and has taught African American History Since 1865, and her dissertation examines how popular culture and museums have influenced the understanding of the Civil Rights Movement.

The aim of every CALS Community Conversations is to provide a safe-to-be-brave discussion space that will make it clear to all groups of every social identity within CALS that diversity and inclusion are among our college’s most cherished and passionately guarded values.
