A graduate student in crop and soil sciences at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná in Brazil, Barros arrived at NC State to learn more about soybean cultivation in North Carolina and extended his stay for the friendships and new experiences.

This time 22 years ago, Dr. Bob Patterson flew to Berlin for a Fulbright scholarship at Humboldt University of Berlin. During his six-month sabbatical in Berlin, Dr. Patterson formed life-long friendships and academic partnerships that he still cherishes today.
International Agricultural Cropping Systems presents “Training the Next Generation of Coffee Producers & Consumers via Innovation & Entrepreneurship”
Visiting students and instructors from SENA in Colombia will explore our local culture and have classroom exchanges with Crop and Soil Sciences Department students; and at the Global Training Institute on Centennial Campus, they will present the first symposium on coffee and cocoa research with other students, faculty, and businesses current topics related to coffee research and coffee culture.
