Brendan Runde Awarded Conservation Leadership Scholarship

Brendan Runde awarded conservation leadership scholarship

Applied Ecology PhD candidate Brendan Runde has been awarded the 2019 Conservation Leadership Scholarship by the North Carolina Wildlife Federation.  The Federation provides several annual grants, but only one Conservation Leadership award is selected per year for “a student of exemplary merit.”

“I am thrilled to be the recipient of the 2019 North Carolina Wildlife Federation Conservation Leadership Scholarship,” says Runde.  “The NCWF and I share a common goal: to encourage responsible stewardship of the wild resources in our great state. Recognition from a prominent organization such as the NCWF is gratifying to me, and I thank them for their continued support of students who have dedicated themselves to conservation.”

The North Carolina Wildlife Federation scholarship program helps hundreds of North Carolina students pursue their dreams of studying and working in the conservation field.

Congratulations, Brendan!
