Dunn’s Never Home Alone Wins AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books

Never Home Alone: From Microbes to Millipedes, Camel Crickets, and Honeybees, the Natural History of Where We Live has won the 2020 AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books!

Criteria for the awards are rigorous.  The judges include scientists, educators and librarians who review the contenders based on the accuracy of scientific content and how clearly it is presented and age-appropriate for its category.  Dunn’s book won the Young Adults category.

All winning books will be distributed to K-12 schools throughout the USA in conjunction with the Subaru Loves Learning initiative. According to Subaru, since the initiative was launched in 2015, more than 278,000 books have been donated.
