Fall Seminar Series

Beginning in September, VetPAC hosts a fortnightly series of seminars that are open to all pre-veterinary students at NCSU. Throughout the fall semester, the seminar series lasts for 4-6 lectures that explore a themed list of current topics relevant to the field of veterinary medicine. Each series is based on a theme designed to encourage career exploration and introduce pre-veterinary students to the vast array of opportunities available within the field. Previous seminar themes have included topics such as:

  • (Fall 2022) “Meet the CVM Faculty and Staff” allowed students to meet the diverse faculty and staff of the CVM, and learn about their careers at NCSU.
  • (Fall 2021) “Evolving and Thriving within Veterinary Medicine” which highlighted speakers with unique career journeys and careers
  • (Fall 2020) “Where do Veterinarians Work?” which highlighted niche veterinary careers including veterinary forensics, military medicine, veterinary diagnostics and mobile practice.
  • (Fall 2019) “How-to:” a series that included instructions for interviewing at clinics, managing academic life, and finding research experiences both on and off campus.
