In January 2017, the University of North Carolina Board of Governors approved Higher Expectations, a five-year strategic plan for the UNC System. The plan included ambitious goals for access, student success, affordability and efficiency, economic impact and community engagement, and institutional excellence and diversity.
Although the plan is set to expire in 2022, UNC System President Peter Hans has committed to refreshing theplan so the system can continue to build on its success over the next five years. Along with refreshed metrics in the original fivethematic areas, the plan will also include a variety of new goals and metrics related to current system initiatives.
The UNC System wants the NC State community’s feedback on the current plan’s goals and metrics, as well as ideas for potential new goals and metrics.
