What is a Southern IPM Grant?
Our annual competitive grants program, Southern IPM Grants, regionally address Global Food Security challenges including invasive species, endangered species, pest resistance, and impacts resulting from regulatory actions. We use a competitive process each year to solicit and select projects for funding.
All projects must further our mission, which is to foster the development and adoption of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), a science-based approach to managing pests in ways that generate economic, environmental, and human health benefits. Funding is outcome-based.
2023 Southern IPM Grant Recipients
This year, SIPMC received 24 proposals with total requested funds of $747,468. Out of those, we funded eight projects, including four working groups, for a total of $264,324.
