If you’re on Instagram, the questions feature on Instagram Stories can be a great way to learn more about your audience. For example, you can post a question to your followers asking why they chose their respective majors and share their answers. Then, you can use those insights in marketing efforts to attract more students to enroll in your program.
Here’s how to post a question:
- Open your Instagram app and tap the camera icon in the top left corner to open Instagram Stories.
- Choose a photo from your camera roll by clicking the photo icon at the bottom left hand corner that is related to the question you want to ask.
- Once your photo is loaded, tap the stickers icon (the square with a smiley face) and click on “questions.”
- Erase the “Ask me a question” written on top of the sticker and type in the question you’d like to ask.
- Hit the “Your Story” icon at the bottom left-hand corner to post the question.
- Wait for your followers to respond to your answers. (You can see their responses by clicking on who viewed your story at the bottom left-hand corner once it’s posted.)
- To share a response, tap one of the answers and hit “share response.” You can also type your own reply to the response, as well as add a photo that relates to the response you received. Make sure to add it to your Instagram Story.

Happy posting!
