The North Carolina Agricultural Research Service is pleased to announce that Bridget Lassiter will join the team as the Project and Field Lab Coordinator for the Lake Wheeler Road Field Lab.
Lassiter received her master’s and doctoral degrees in Crop Science and Agricultural Education from NC State. She has worked as a weed specialist for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture since 2014. There she served as the program manager overseeing six employees and implemented control programs for federal and state noxious weeds such as witchweed.
In her new position, she will supervise operations for current work as well as lead strategic planning of upgrading and modernization of the field lab to a Future Ready Farm. She will coordinate with departmental units located on the site to achieve the joint missions of research, teaching and Extension for CALS.
Lassiter will begin on April 1. Please welcome her back to the Pack.
