Expansion of NC State’s Child Care Services Program with Bright Horizons

NC State gateway

Good News! We are pleased to announce NC State University is expanding its child care services program for our eligible faculty, staff and postdoctoral employees.

NC State is adding nine Bright Horizons child care centers in the Triangle to its list of child care resources for employees. The child care services program is being enhanced as a result of an agreement that extends the contract between NC State and Bright Horizons to June 30, 2020 (subject to annual renewal thereafter).

The map here shows where the Bright Horizons centers are located. Effective July 1, 2019, employees can begin to enroll their children into one of the Bright Horizons centers.

Benefits of this extended partnership:

NC State has negotiated to increase the number of child care slots available for our eligible employees from 34 to approximately 100 at the Bright Horizons centers. Eligible faculty, staff and postdoctoral employees can enroll their children in one of the Bright Horizons centers and receive the NC State child care tuition rate or the center’s child care tuition rate, whichever is lower. Please note tuition rates will vary at each location. Each of the nine facilities offer high quality infant, toddler, preschool and kindergarten prep programs. Four of the centers also offer school-age programs. All of these facilities are rated as five-star centers. Bright Horizons will give eligible NC State families priority consideration for current and future child care openings when slots become available.

How to Apply and/or Receive These Benefits?
NC State families should contact the Bright Horizons child care center of their choice to inquire about space availability and the center’s child care tuition rates.
