We recently announced the results from the second round of the CALS/Provost strategic hiring process. Refer to the table below to see the 13 faculty positions (assistant professor level) and 1 Directorship position that have been selected. The determination of these strategic positions was completed with input (ranking recommendations) from members of our 4 college systems, in addition to recommendations from our CALS Associate Deans.
CALS administration will be working closely with the respective department heads to strategize about how to best move forward to advertise, recruit and ultimately fill these new faculty positions. We anticipate starting this process in early summer of 2017, with hopes of filling the majority of these positions during the next 6-18 months.
The college continues to be excited about this unprecedented opportunity to enhance our capacity for excellence in research, teaching, extension and international programs for the agriculture and life sciences disciplines.
We look forward to the days ahead and working with you all to recruit the very best faculty to CALS!
