In response to the recent changes to Google storage quotas, CALS IT is hosting a special session town hall event Feb. 11. The event is open to all CALS faculty, staff, students and affiliates.
As the university community shifts to these changes, CALS IT understands that there have been disruptions. The storage quotas are as follows:
- Faculty & staff – 100 GB
- Students – 15 GB
- Extension Only County Collaborators – 100 GB (UP08)
- Emeritus faculty – 100 GB (UP10)
- “Other” – 15 GB (all other UP classifications such as retirees, vendors, part-time, and temp employees)
- Generic accounts – 5 GB
- Shared Drives – 15 GB per shared drive
- Consumer Photo service will be turned OFF for all new accounts or any account that has no consumed photos storage.
More information regarding Google Workspace storage quotas is available on the IT Service Portal.
The CALS IT town hall will feature panelists from CALS Leadership and Information Technology teams who will address any existing and upcoming concerns regarding these changes and related deadlines.
