Writers are tasked with finding and telling compelling stories on a regular basis. When you work at an interesting place like NC State, finding compelling stories is easy; but the pressures of the daily grind can make it difficult to summon the creativity to tell those stories in an engaging way.
This workshop will lead participants through in-class exercises designed to boost their creativity by helping them escape the limitations of an everyday mindset and access the attitude of “beginner’s mind.”
Join us on January 30, 2020 at 10 a.m. for a 90 minute workshop to give your writing a little spark of inspiration. Brent Winters, senior editor with University Communications, will guide attendees through a variety of prompts and evaluations.
Faculty, staff, postdocs and grad students are encouraged to register.
Registration will close at 15 people.
