The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is excited to welcome Jason Gipe, who joined CALS Advancement as the senior director on March 3.

Gipe brings over 15 years of experience in fundraising and institutional advancement. Most recently, he served as the vice president for advancement at the University of Mount Olive, where he led all fundraising operations for the institution, including closing multiple seven-figure gifts while leading a staff of eight.

Prior to the University of Mount Olive, Gipe was the assistant vice president for development at Campbell University. While there, he increased giving by 300% and personally closed several gifts over $1,000,000. Gipe also successfully executed a $75 million campaign.

He’s thrilled to once again join NC State after serving as the director of constituency programs and the executive director of membership for the Alumni Association from 2008 to 2011. In his new role with CALS, Gipe is responsible for strengthening fundraising efforts and leading a range of development activities, including planning, managing and driving large gifts strategies.

While managing a team of gift officers and program specialists, Gipe’s primary focus will be to drive fundraising activity at the major gift level by actively managing a focused portfolio of major gift prospects and donors and contributing to campaign planning needs, alumni programming and communications activities.

“As a two-time NC State graduate, I could not be more excited to return to my alma mater and join the CALS Advancement team,” says Gipe. “This is such a dynamic group of professionals who work tirelessly to build relationships that will grow the college for years to come.”
