Staff Chat: Carl Hollifield
Carl Hollifield came to NC State from Asheville in 1997 to study agricultural business management, earning his degree in 2001. Twenty years after his arrival, he’s now one of the staff members responsible for bringing Howling Cow to ice cream lovers at NC State and around the greater Triangle area.
CALS Response to NCDOL Telehandler Personnel Lift Accident
A CALS employee was recently hospitalized after an accident involving a Telehandler Personnel Lift. Upon receiving notification of the accident, the North Carolina Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Division requested CALS to conduct an investigation of the accident and provide corrective actions. Those can be found in this announcement.
Ready for a Global Impact
NC State will count more than 5,900 newly-minted graduates among its alumni following spring commencement on May 12. This includes an estimated 537 international students who applied for graduation this semester, representing approximately 40 different countries.

April Fogleman of the Department of Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences is one of six NC State professors named an Alumni Association Outstanding Teacher for 2018. The annual awards recognize faculty who excel in the classroom, laboratory and in the field.
