Bio

Dr. Cengiz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. Her primary research interests are in industrial organization, applied microeconomics, applied econometrics and health economics. An overarching goal for Dr. Cengiz’s research is to pursue work that is both accessible and policy-relevant. Her current work explores the economics and econometrics of advertising, diet quality, product reformulation and sweetened beverage taxes in food and beverages industries. She holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a B.A. in Economics from Istanbul University, Turkey.
