Delta Tau Alpha’s Cause for Celebration

Delta Tau Alpha honor society has made a strong return to campus despite COVID-19. DTA president Claudia Kilmer inducted thirty-four new members on September 28th at the Talley Student Union. ARE’s Jonathan Phillips, DTA Coordinator, said the event is like a half-time celebration. He explained, “Why wait until graduation to cheer for our students? Induction is a great way to celebrate the successes of ABM and AGI students with their families and friends today.”

The keynote speaker for the evening was Michael Phillips. Michael is the owner of Phillips Farms in Cary, North Carolina.  He advised members that even if “they step into a leadership role they should never stop being a student.” DTA is for Agricultural Business Management majors and Agricultural Institute students who have excelled academically. The purpose of the honor society is to promote academic scholarship as well as public service in and around the community. Congratulations to all the new members!
