CALS Pre-Vet students shine at 2015 APVMA conference
Pre-veterinary students from NC State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences once again excelled at the American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association’s (APVMA) annual conference. CALS students had scored a top award and an APVMA executive position at the 2015 conference.
VetPAC networking event draws record attendance
More than 100 pre-veterinary track students took advantage of the opportunity to hear from a diverse range of veterinary professionals, DVM admissions officials and Animal Education Unit representatives Jan. 31. The occasion was the annual networking event hosted by the Veterinary Professions Advising Center (VetPAC) at N.C. State University.
VetCAMP 2012 expands to accommodate popular demand
When N.C. State University’s summer veterinary camp, or VetCAMP, was launched last summer, 35 high-school-age students participated in the five days of activities related to modern-day veterinary medicine. This year there were more than 172 applications for 36 available spots, so the camp was expanded to a second five-day session.

Veterinary Professions Advising Center (VetPAC) and the Pre-Vet Club hosted the annual national symposium of the American PreVeterinary Medical Association (APVMA). The 2012 national meeting was the largest and best attended such APVMA event to date. The symposium drew 650 pre-vet majors.
