Caramel Apple Crisp is Back!

If you missed the chance to taste the exclusive Howling Cow ice cream flavor at last year’s State Fair, you’re in luck.

Caramel apple crisp is back by popular demand.

“It’s like grandma’s apple pie,” says Carl Hollifield, assistant director of the NC State Dairy Enterprise System. And he would know, recently having been elbow-deep in production of the apple-based ice cream with a cinnamon caramel swirl and pie pieces.

Hankering for a scoop? You’ll find caramel apple crisp and a slate of other Howling Cow ice cream flavors in a tent next to the Hobbies & Crafts building.
