Caramel apple crisp is back by popular demand.
“It’s like grandma’s apple pie,” says Carl Hollifield, assistant director of the NC State Dairy Enterprise System. And he would know, recently having been elbow-deep in production of the apple-based ice cream with a cinnamon caramel swirl and pie pieces.
