Training Programs
We have several continuing education training opportunities for busy professionals who want to develop new skills, keep up-to-date, or earn a professional license. On-campus and distance learning training programs are available in soil science, wetland soils, soil microbiology, geospatial technology, and other topics of interest.
Courses and Workshops
The Department of Crop and Soil Sciences offers over sixty workshops and conferences every year to serve the needs of North Carolina’s environmental professionals.
Our Extension Specialists continually design innovative, hands-on training with unique field demonstrations especially for individuals seeking state certifications or specialized instruction in the fields of wastewater management, erosion and sediment control, and nutrient management.
Workshops are held across the state of North Carolina. Our instructors are passionate about their fields of expertise and engage adult students to spark excitement and confidence about expanding their professional skills.
