Family businesses and family farms in particular have real and measurable advantages over non-family operators, but even with family business advantages few operations survive generational transfers. This session will discuss the importance of family business succession planning, leadership and successor development, and the current state of small business and farm succession. The session will also offer practical tips for successor development at various stages of ownership and control transfer.
