Gil Zeif

Hi, my name is Gil Zeif, and I am in the Class of 2029 at NCSU CVM! My hometown is Charleston, SC. I graduated from NCSU in 2024 with a B.S. in Animal Science.

Going into Vet School, my primary areas of interest are specializing in either Internal Medicine or Clinical Pathology. One of my favorite aspects of Veterinary Medicine is the puzzle-solving aspect of diagnosing and treating, which both specializations lend themselves to greatly. Saying that, I would definitely be happy with working in general practice as the client-clinician relationship is something I enjoy greatly working in the field. During my time in undergrad, my top 3 influential moments were working at the CVMs teaching hospital in their emergency department, where I expanded my knowledge and skills in a fast-paced environment. Becoming a member of VetPAC provided an excellent opportunity to practice my professionalism and work in a team. My last most influential moment was joining Hillel at NCSU, not because of any relevance to veterinary medicine, but to have helped me find my community and my friends at NCSU and help keep me grounded.
