NC State’s Annual Day of Giving is Coming
Support the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology During NC State Day of Giving on March 23rd
Plants and microbes are more than fascinating. They are indispensable to the health and well-being of our planet. By performing cutting-edge research and educating the next generation of scientists, the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology (PMB) is working to make the world a better place.
For 24 hours on March 23, you can support this vital work by making direct gifts and taking part in fun social media challenges. We’re stronger together as a Pack!

Social Media Challenges
NC State’s Day of Giving offers plenty of opportunities to support students and bolster initiatives across campus, both through making gifts and through hourly social media challenges, which allows supporters who might be unable to make a financial gift to still make an impact!! Challenge winners can designate the college, department or program of their choice to receive resulting bonus funds.

Hashtag Challenge
In addition to the hourly social media challenges, there is also the hashtag challenge match! Twitter users can share what they love about NC State, tag the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology (PMB Twitter) and use #GivingPack to earn $10 for PMB!
Supporters can also help spread the word by updating their social media profiles with Day of Giving images and banners. Furthermore, leaderboard competitions allow departments to compete for a share of bonus funds based on the total number of gifts received and the percent of alumni gifts. So, every gift is amplified and no gift is too small!
