2019 Carlson Award Recipents Announced

Two recent graduates of the Joint Economics program have been nominated for the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award.

Hyeongyul Roh, directed by Harrison Fell, is nominated with a dissertation entitled “Three Essays on Energy, Environmental, and Resource Economics.”

Lee Parton, directed by Wally Thurman and Roger von Haefen, is nomintaed with is dissertation entitled “Understanding the Effects of Policy Uncertainty, Public Land Use Change and Public School Gun Violence: Three Essays in Applied Microeconomics and Environmental Economics.”

They are also recipients of the Gerald Carlson Award in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. They will be recognized at a ceremony in May 2019.
