Fall Class Inducted Into DTA Ag Honor Society

On September 24, 2024, the Fall class of Agricultural Institute students was inducted into the esteemed Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society, advised by ARE Senior Lecturer Jonathan Phillips.

Lance Wardlaw addresses the DTA Induction attendees.

A highlight of the evening was the keynote address delivered by Lance Wardlaw. Wardlaw is the Director of Strategic Alliances at AgSouth Farm Credit, focusing on developing young, beginning and small farmer lending, advocacy and community partnerships. He shared wisdom about success with the newly initiated members, stating life is a collection of seconds and that a person’s success depends on how they use those seconds. Wardlaw also emphasized developing one’s mind and building relationships as keys to success.

Delta Tau Alpha membership at NC State currently includes 33 Agricultural Institute students. This national agricultural honor society, dedicated to fostering academic scholarship and community service, extends invitations to second-year students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement with a GPA above 3.0. The Honor Society’s next event will focus on negotiation and conflict management

Congratulations to the newly inducted DTA members!
