Branan to Lead NC Group of Appraisers and Farm Managers Forward

The North Carolina Society for Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (NCSFMRA) unanimously approved Andrew Branan as Secretary-Treasurer of the group. This comes after former Secretary-Treasurer Guido van der Hoeven’s retirement.

The NCSFMRA is a forum for all sectors of Agriculture to come together and focus on the land that supports their livelihood providing food, fiber, and fuel. The group is over 50 years old and has a strong culture of fellowship among farmers, appraisers, owners, educators, and rural managers. Members of NCSFMRA are a “family of the fields” coming together from the Mountains of North Carolina to the Carolina Coast. The group focuses on the land that supports everyone’s lives.

The NCSFMRA provides a scholarship each year to a deserving Agricultural Business Management student who desires to return to their family farming operation after graduation. You can read about Michaela French, this year’s scholarship recipient.
