ARE Welcomes Two New Staff Members

The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics is pleased to welcome two new staff members to its ranks:  Erin Omba, Executive Assistant, and Margaret Huffman, Office Coordinator. Erin and Margaret are settled in Nelson Hall, and have already hit the ground running.
Margaret Huffman, left, and Erin Omba, right.

Erin’s background is in operations management, and she comes to us most recently from the Center for Family and Community Engagement in CHASS, where she served as the Project Coordinator. Erin is excited to be working in an environment that allows her to directly support faculty and students, and encourages you to communicate to her any needs or questions you might have–no matter how large or small!

Margaret hails from the Department of Biological Sciences where she was the office assistant. A NC native, she is hoping to learn more about agriculture, business, farming, and the state’s resources. Margaret will be working on the website so whenever ARE students and faculty do something wonderful please let her know so she can spotlight it. She is also available for help with the department vehicle, keys, work orders, and parking permits.

They are both looking forward to getting to know everyone, so please stop by Nelson 3350 to meet Erin and 3304 to meet Margaret if you haven’t already done so.
