The Center for Environmental and Resource Economics Policy (CEnREP) received a $44,000 grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to support Camp Resources over the next three years. Camp Resources is a unique, three-day workshop held each summer in North Carolina. The workshop, designed for graduate students and young professionals, provides opportunities to present research, receive feedback and network with peers.

Founded by former CEnREP Director Kerry Smith in 1993, Camp Resources recently held its 30th installment, with gaps in 2007 and 2020. The workshop is now preparing for its upcoming session in Asheville, North Carolina, this August.
“With the Sloan Foundation’s generous support, we’ll be able to increase our funding for participants, drawing from a wider pool of faculty mentors and young scholars alike,” said Camp Resources Director Roger von Haefen.
