The Animal and Poultry Waste Management Center (APWMC) provides infrastructure and programs to support inventive basic and applied approaches to animal waste management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We develop knowledge and waste management options to enhance the animal production industries in North Carolina and the nation, and improve the environment and quality of life for all citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animal and Poultry Waste Management Center Processing Facility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The long-term sustainability of animal production agriculture in North Carolina may depend on new uses of animal by-products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
NC State’s APWMC Waste Processing Facility (Waste Management Facility) – located at the Lake Wheeler Road Field Laboratory – provides the infrastructure and equipment for faculty and APWMC members to explore and meet objectives for converting animal by-products into value-added products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
