Many of the units hosted here are operated by various departments in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) \u2014 such as <a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/animal-science\/\">Animal Science<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/prestage-department-of-poultry-science\/\">Poultry Science<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/crop-and-soil-sciences\/\">Crop and Soil Sciences<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/biological-and-agricultural-engineering\/\">Biological and Agricultural Engineering<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/food-bioprocessing-and-nutrition-sciences\/\">Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences<\/a>; and <a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/entomology-and-plant-pathology\/\">Entomology and Plant Pathology<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake Wheeler Field Lab Units and their operating departments are listed below. Contact information appears at &#8220;Agriculture-Related Units in the Raleigh Area.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities at these units are supported by the Lake Wheeler Field Laboratory personnel, which include staff for field operation, landscape &amp; maintenance, and vehicle maintenance. Support activities include forage production, waste management, landscaping, maintenance, and repairs.
