{"id":917,"date":"2017-10-17T18:57:32","date_gmt":"2017-10-17T18:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/vetpac-new\/?page_id=917"},"modified":"2025-10-09T16:15:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T20:15:02","slug":"danielle-mzyk","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/vetpac\/prevet-to-cvm-profiles\/danielle-mzyk\/","title":{"rendered":"Danielle Mzyk"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Danielle Mzyk (Lindquist) is a 2012 graduate from NC&#160;State University with a B.S. in Zoology and a minor in animal science.&nbsp; She is currently enrolled in a dual DVM\/Ph.D. degree program at the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), where her research is focused on pharmacology and dairy calves. She still volunteers at NC&#160;State\u2019s Lake Wheeler Dairy and is actively involved with the Student Chapter of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners as a member of the officer team. She developed an outreach program at the CVM presenting about veterinary medicine and the production animal industry. She currently answers phone calls from around the country as a graduate research assistant under FARAD (Food Animal Residue Avoidance Databank) which helps veterinarians answer extra label drug questions in food producing species.&nbsp; She has published peer reviewed articles pertaining to pharmacology and drug residues and has research interest in dairy calf health and welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Veterinary\/Animal experiences:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Volunteer Coordinator \u2013 Canine Assisted Rehabilitation for the Elderly (C.A.R.E.
