Hi! My name is Beatrice Eddy, and I am a member of the NCSU CVM Class of 2027. I was born in New Jersey but grew up in Laurinburg, North Carolina. I graduated from NCSU in May of 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and a minor in Zoology.

I plan to pursue a career in small animal/exotics, with specific interests in shelter and emergency medicine. As an undergraduate, I actively pursued diverse opportunities at NCSU, which included study abroad experiences in South Africa and Thailand, engaging in impactful research, and leadership roles as a TA, camp counselor, and VetPAC intern. These experiences allowed me to explore shelter medicine globally, understand different cultures, contribute to research, and connect with various professionals and students.

Through all these experiences and more, NCSU truly provided outstanding opportunities that guided my passion and shaped my journey through veterinary medicine.
