Dr. Shweta Trivedi serves as the founding Director of Veterinary Professions Advising Center (VetPAC). She is a veterinarian by training who completed a PhD in Immunology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University in 2005. Dr. Trivedi went on to do two postdoctoral fellowships at the National Institutes of Health. As a Teaching Professor in the Department of Animal Science , she teaches Anatomy and Physiology of Domestic Animals, a Professional Development Course for Pre-Veterinary Track Students as well as study abroad courses in the United Kingdom and Costa Rica. She was the recipient of the Multi-cultural Scholar grant from USDA-NIFA (2013-2019) and is a strong advocate for diversity in veterinary medicine and other health professions. Her advising manuscripts have been published in JVME, the Translational Journal of Animal Science, NACTA, and NAAHP Advisor. In her free time, she likes to hike with her family and dog, bake, and paint.<\/p>\n\t \t \n

Casey is an NC State Alumni who was involved with VetPAC throughout her undergraduate studies. She completed her BA in Animal Science with an industry concentration and a minor in Agricultural Business Management. Casey provides support to the VetPAC director and helps facilitate the VetPAC mission. Her responsibilities include; event planning, coordinating VetPAC internships, managing the VetPAC website and social media, as well as organizing outreach opportunities such as VetCAMP. Casey is excited to be a part of the pack again and looks forward to contributing to the centers growth and impact. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her dog. <\/p>\n\t \t \n
