My name is Christian Capobianco and I am thrilled to be a member of the NCSU CVM class of 2023. I am originally from Wantagh, NY and moved to Holly Springs, NC prior to attending NCSU for my undergraduate degree. I graduated in Fall of 2018 with my B.S. in Animal Science.

I have always had a passion for zoological medicine and began gaining experience within the veterinary field during high school. Throughout my time at NCSU, I was afforded a variety of opportunities to explore this passion including the opportunity to study abroad. During my undergraduate career, I worked as a veterinary nurse and was able to put my passion for education to use by working as a camp coordinator and teaching assistant.

I was very involved in research being performed at the Blikslager lab and was able to get involved in a project involving the recovery of intestinal barrier function following ischemic injury. In the future, I hope to continue working with exotics and wildlife as a board-certified zoological veterinarian.
