Both undergraduate (Junior or Senior levels) and graduate (Ph.D. and veterinary) students at accredited academic institutions are welcome to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b><strong>National<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><b><strong>USAJOBS.GOV<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When looking for research opportunities with government entities, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/\">USAJOBS.GOV<\/a> and type \u201cstudent trainee, USDA, research.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will see all of the government positions available all over the country, but it is up to you to look at the descriptions to see what will work for you as far as when, where, and whether there is an active&nbsp;involvement&nbsp;in research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you only want a summer job, be sure the posting does not require you to work year-round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not limit yourself to a specific place- you will find many more opportunities around the country and most will pay you enough to live there for the summer. Think of it as a study abroad&#8211; except they are paying you, not the other way around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b><strong>International<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Field Projects International<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fieldprojects.org\/\">Field Projects International&#8217;s<\/a> research programs focus on the nonhuman primates at the Estaci\u00f3n Biologica Rio Los Amigos (EBLA) field site, and we approach this research from a variety of perspectives. All projects contribute to field training courses that we offer and serve as a platform for learning for our long-term trainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b><strong>World Vet<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldvets.org\/\">World Vet<\/a> is a non-government organization (NGO) providing veterinary aid around the world in collaboration with animal advocacy groups, foreign governments, US and foreign military groups and veterinary professionals abroad.
