Catherine Bartholf

My name is Catherine Bartholf and I am a member of the NCSU CVM class of 2019. I grew up in Pittsboro North Carolina and attended Northwood High School from 2007-2011. During my senior year I did my graduation project with Hope Crossing Animal Hospital on veterinary medicine and began volunteering there. After graduating in 2011, I attended North Carolina State University as an Animal Science major with a concentration in Veterinary Bioscience from 2011-2015 and graduated Summa Cum Laude. While at NC State University, I focused on gaining a better understanding of the scope and importance of veterinary medicine in our communities. I was an active member of the Pre-Veterinary Medical Association and learned a lot about the different roles veterinarians can play and what they can contribute to their communities. I did my best to diversify my experiences in veterinary medicine while pursuing opportunities that I was passionate about participating in. Through my time at NC State University I gained experience in small animal medicine, wildlife medicine, zoological and exotics medicine, food animal medicine (small ruminants and poultry), mixed animal medicine, studying abroad, and undergraduate research.
