Sign Up to Attend or Compete in New Ag Tech Pitch Contest
The N.C. PSI Seed2Grow Showcase and Pitch Competition takes place Nov. 11 at NC State's Plant Sciences Building.
The North Carolina Plant Sciences Initiative’s first Seed2Grow Showcase and Pitch Competition, set for Tuesday Nov. 11, promises to spark collaboration, highlight breakthrough ideas and showcase the strength of the state’s growing agricultural technology ecosystem.
NC State University researchers and students with entrepreneurial ideas for innovative agricultural technology are invited to apply. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. Oct. 26. The student track is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, while the researcher track is available for faculty members, postdocs and research scholars.
For each track, six individuals or teams will be selected to present their ideas during the competition. Industry experts will select winners for each track, with prizes of $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second and $1,000 for third. The prize value could rise, depending on fundraising efforts underway now.

The showcase and pitch competition takes place from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Plant Sciences Building on NC State’s Centennial Campus. The event is free and open to the public, including investors, ag tech industry representatives and members of the NC State community.
