SUMMARY:STEPS REU Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) Program is essential and very important to the Science and Technologies for Phosphorus Sustainability (STEPS) Center. Undergraduate students from across the U.S. have the opportunity to work on research projects within the Center under the mentorship of STEPS scholars and faculty. \nThe STEPS Center is proud to host it’s annual REU Research Symposium in the PSB\, which will feature research posters and presentations prepared by each REU participant. Representatives for each research project will be on hand to answer questions about their emerging and ongoing exploration of Phosphorus related recovery and sustainability. These discussions are designed to identify and define potential future research directions and opportunities to partner with the Center.

PSI Hackathon is an annual event that gives undergraduates\, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars the chance to demonstrate their skills in a three-day competition to solve ag tech-related challenges for prizes and\, of course\, bragging rights. \nThis year\, the PSI Hackathon is centered around ag-tech innovation in the areas of bioinformatics\, data science and hardware fabrication. Each one of those tracks will have one or more challenges and will be inclusive to participants with various levels of experience.
