N.C. PSI Mashup: Green Innovations in Agriculture
November 12 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us for our next “Mashup” at the NC Plant Sciences Initiative!
NC PSI Mashups provide a stage for industry partners of the NC PSI and our NCSU experts to showcase their exciting programs. Come learn and network with the local agtech community!
This Mashup will focus on green solutions to agricultural challenges.
Our industry partner for this Mashup will be Novonesis, with speaker Dr. Greg Maloney from their Plant Health division. Greg will talk about what it takes to get biological products to market and the current and ideal future state to make their use more prevalent.
Our NCSU expert that will present is Dr. Cameron Hunter, Postdoctoral Scientist in Dr. Amy Grunden’s lab. Cameron will talk about the Biocatalyst Interactions with Gases (BIG) Collaboration, which is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The BIG Collaboration between NCSU and the Technical University of Denmark aims to uncover new biology-based methods for CO2 management and sustainable fertilizer production through the fundamental investigation of enzyme catalyzed gas reactions involving carbon dioxide and nitrogen.
