Bio

After completing his bachelor and master’s in animal science and poultry nutrition in Colombia, Dr. Romero received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue a doctoral program in the Poultry Science at North Carolina State University (minor in nutrition and split minor in statistics). Dr Romero worked under Dr. Brake’s direction on broiler breeder male management and nutrition. Then he joined Nutreco B.V in The Netherlands to work as a Technical Manager for Hybro. At this position he gained field experience in Europe and then in Latin America in the broiler and broiler breeder industry. Later, Dr. Romero joined Trouw Nutrition as Technical Manager South America, where he was responsible for technical and marketing support, working with premix and feed additive business. In 2017 he was appointed to lead the NutriOpt poultry business in the USA where he supported validation trials to implement NIR technology for broiler and layer customers, in close cooperation with R&D and Universities. In 2021 Dr. Romero joined Novus International as Global Strategic Technology Manager where he supports all world areas in marketing, innovation and technical support.
