Gustavo earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Universidad del Tolima in Ibague, Colombia (2018).
As a professional, Gustavo gained experience in diet formulation and nutrition for multiple species, working as a nutritionist in a large commercial feed company in his country.
Currently, Gustavo is pursuing his master’s degree in poultry science. His research interest focuses on the optimum amino acid profile for broiler breeders and its impact in the progeny, taking into consideration the economic effect in poultry integrations. He is studying under the direction of Dr. Edgar Oviedo and is a team member in Oviedo’s lab.
