Youth Partner With Food Banks In Chicken Project

It doesn’t get more local than the Coastal Plains Chicken Project: aided by the Prestage Department of Poultry Science, the chickens were raised by local youth, processed by local experts and distributed to local food banks.

Beloved Teacher and Advisor Carm Parkhurst Passes Away

Award-winning Professor Emeritus Carm Parkhurst of the Prestage Department of Poultry Science passed away on May 19 at age 77. He joined the faculty in 1971 and continued to teach and work after retiring in 2008.
