Register now for Nov. 17 ESP meeting

Registration is now underway for the Nov. 17 annual meeting of Epsilon Sigma Phi, XI Chapter. The meeting will be held at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost of the meeting is $25, and a registration form is available on the XI Chapter website, along with information on the meeting agenda: wikis.lib.ncsu.edu/index.php/Epsilon_Sigma_Phi/Xi_Chapter. Please send registration and payment by Nov. 14 to Tracy Brown.

As an added bonus, Epsilon Sigma Phi members are eligible for the group rate of $125 to attend the 10th Annual General Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum on Nov. 18, “Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship: A Values-Based Leadership Approach.” The forum will be held at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This one-day professional development experience will include speakers Hugh Shelton, broadcaster and author Tom Brokaw and many more. In order to participate at the reduced cost of $125, you must register by Friday, Oct. 28, by contacting Spring Williams-Byrd at spring_williams@ncsu.edu. We must have at least 10 registered and paid for this special rate.

Finally, there is still time to apply for several awards. ESP is seeking nominees in several awards categories, and the deadline for applying for these categories only has been extended to Nov. 1. Categories still open are: Bernadette Watts Scholarship, Visionary Leadership, Distinguished Service, Continued Service, Retiree Award, Administrative Leadership, Friend of Extension, Diversity, International and county performance awards from West, West Central and North Central districts.
