Farm Animal Days to educate, delight

The College’s annual “throw open the barn doors” event, Farm Animal Days, takes place March 16-18 at the Beef Education Unit off Lake Wheeler Road.

A wonderful event for children, activities include demonstrations of shorn sheep, touch the animals (including sheep, goats, rabbits, pigs and the famous chick pen), a chance to practice roping, tractors on display, large agricultural animals on display, and of course, free N.C. State ice cream.

More than 5,000 are expected to attend this year’s event. For more details about Farm Animal Days, click here.
