Extension Administration connects with employees live online

N.C. Cooperative Extension administrators embarked on a new strategy to communicate directly with all Extension employees twice each year. On Monday, March 11, the first Extension-wide webinar with administration was hosted on N.C. State University’s Blackboard Collaborate system.

Extension employees who missed all or part of the session can see it in its entirety at https://collaborate.wolfware.ncsu.edu/play_recording.html?recordingId=1336771562268_1363021278828.

The March 11 session, open only to Extension employees, will be held 2-3:30 p.m. All Extension employees are invited to participate by logging into the Blackboard session at https://collaborate.wolfware.ncsu.edu/join_meeting.html?meetingId=1336771562268

The meeting involved four leaders of the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service based at N.C. State. This “L-4” group includes Cooperative Extension Director Dr. Joe Zublena; Sheri Schwab, associate director and director of county operations; Dr. Marshall Stewart, associate director and director of 4-H youth development and family & consumer services; and Dr. Tom Melton, deputy director and director of agriculture, natural resources and community development.

Monday’s agenda included administrative updates, along with discussion on advocacy, State Advisory Council and local advisory councils, relationships with local partners, Extension’s centennial in 2014, local foods and budget expectations.

The second meeting of 2013 will be held Aug. 6, 2-3:30 p.m., at this link: https://collaborate.wolfware.ncsu.edu/join_meeting.html?meetingId=1336771562270
