Commissioner's series to focus on feeding growing population

The next session in the N.C. Commissioner of Agriculture’s Speaker Series at N.C. State University will focus on innovation and efficiency in agriculture to feed an exploding world population. The panel discussion takes place at 4 p.m. April 14 in 2215 Williams Hall.

In this session, Commissioner Steve Troxler will offer an overview of how North Carolina’s agricultural sector is becoming increasingly concerned with the food demands of an exploding population. The speakers will offer insight to issues involving international food demand and will discuss the efforts being made by the state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the agriculture industry to tackle these challenges.

The Commissioner’s Speaker Series is a joint project of NCSU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and NCDA&CS. The goal is help prepare today’s college student to lead and succeed in the agricultural sector.
