Each year the American Society of Biological and Agricultural Engineers (ASABE) chooses two individuals – one professional and one student – to act as the New Faces of ASABE, which are announced annually ahead of National Engineers Week. New Faces of ASABE aims to inspire peers, the public and future engineers who might follow in their footsteps.

This year, both of the top honorees are from NC State’s Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering: Sierra Young, Ph.D., EIT and Brieana (Brie) Saur. Young is an assistant professor in robotics and sensors while Saur is senior graduating in May 2020.
