The course moves beyond traditional recipe-book laboratory exercises by engaging students in authentic research practices, including hypothesis development, molecular modeling, biochemical experimentation, data interpretation, and communication. Through this work, I examine how course-based research experiences help students develop competencies and confidence in biochemistry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another part of my work focuses on curriculum design and scholarship of teaching and learning in upper-level biochemistry courses. This work aims to improve student engagement, learning outcomes, and students\u2019 ability to apply biochemical knowledge and reasoning through case studies, real-world applications, and active and inquiry-based learning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A developing direction of my research focuses on computational and AI literacy in undergraduate biochemistry education.
