Tove, an authority on lipid metabolism. Tove taught at NC&#160;State for nearly four decades and was honored as a William Neal Reynolds Professor in 1975 and a fellow in the American Society for Nutrition in 1990. He served as chair of the biochemistry department from 1975 until his retirement in 1987.
